Lowes has straw labeled as wheat/rye/something else, does it matter?

Cool, that's what I'm using for my Pl.djamor.

I'm doing a visions' laundry basket. According to the tek that basket should hold 1/5 of a bale, but I don't think I got more than 1/8 - 1/10 into it.

TMC says oat and wheat straw are most commonly used because of their coarseness and their availibility, but I believe any STRAW (not hay) works well.

good luck

when using straw, make sure you use a brick or something heavy on top while its colonizing. denser straw means more mass for mycelium to run through and more nutes.
