Edibles in GA (psychoactive and not)
    #1391837 -

Can someone post some pictures of edible mushrooms found in Georgia?  I've noticed the people on this forum aren't all a bunch of drug fiends and some actually have a shitload of stored knowledge on mycology.  I'm begginning to like this site, it reminds me a lot of poppies.org which has several members that grow strictly to make floral arrangements with pods.  Good to see people have more of a  purpose in education instead of limited knowledge on what'll make ya trip and what won't.

It's good to see somebody whose interest here doesn't start with something about Bo0m3rZ or something similar.

Rather than spend the time answering in detail, I'm going to recommend that you search the internet (try google with georgia edible mushroom), or your local bookstore or library.

You might also try checking out this site. They have a lot of information specific to your area of the US, including recommendations on which books are most useful for your area.

Before you eat anything you find, be sure to get confirmation from somebody with expertise. You can die from eating the wrong mushroom, and it isn't a nice way to go. If in doubt, throw it out.

Happy mushrooming, and good luck!

Ever since I started posting on Poppies and over here, I've started to gain an interest in growing things in general. Used to love to garden as something I did with my mother when I was younger. I'd love to grow some things again. I've been thinking about the reward of eating something you worked to cultivate yourself. I would imagine it would be an equally if not more rewarding experience to indulge in pyshcedelics that took time and effort to cultivate.
