just a story, RG-disappointing first flush
    #1392433 - 03/19/03 06:18 PM (15 years, 2 months ago)

heres a summary about this guy in this story im reading:

RG quart jar, sterilized, innoculated, colonized 100%, broken up into plastic container, covered lightly with small hunks of cowshit: first flush was excuriatingly weak(1x(2.5" length*pencil thick stem), 1x(1.5" length*slightly smaller then pencil thick stem)), the guy in the story is trying to induce a more fruitful/larger yeilding 2nd flush, he delayed light after the he picked the 2 shrooms for 3 days, trying to encourage rhizomorphic growth.  Some ideas he had were to recase the cake with CoCo Coir, attempt to increase h2o particulates in the air, even though his hydrometer has read 100% for the pin initiation of the first flush.  He is also stabalizing temperature, which was NOT done for the first flush (fluxuations between 65-84(f), avg'ing @ 76-78(f))... if anyone has anything to add about things the guy in the story could have done, or could do to encourage a higher yeilding second flush, please feel free!

He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

chunks of poo ain't what your after
it's good to let the poo dry out so you can crumble it up as fine as possible
.it should be light and fluffy and moist(not wet)after pasturization
mix the spawn and poo well and crumble a a little extra spawn on top
a least thats what kramer says
roadkills got a good poo tek floating around in the post somewhere

the guy in the story knows how to case, i think he purposely did chunks as an experiment. any other suggestions to increase his 2nd flush's yield?
