Rare Timothy Leary cd's for sale
    #1390307 - 03/19/03 04:54 AM (21 years, 3 months ago)

Timothy Leary is amazing to listen to while tripping, so here?s a good trip tip for you all. Check out the  Pacifica Radio Archives website, and you?ll see some very rare Leary cd?s.

They?re selling a  3 CD set of Timothy Leary albums that can?t be found anywhere else. This set has four hours of material from....

The Problems of Expanding Consciousness. April 17, 1963
Turn On, Tune in, Drop Out. December 14, 1966
Timothy Leary Now. Novermber 13, 1976
                                    Millenium Madness. September 21, 1987

The cd that i?m the most interested in is "Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out" from 1966. You may recall that Leary has another  "Turn On Tune In Drop Out" cd, but there are big differences between the two albums. The version that was just linked is a soundtrack to the unreleased movie of the same name, and the Pacifica version is an all spoken word album that is now out of print everywhere else other than Pacifica.

The 3-CD set is available for $42.95(not sure about shipping). If there?s no shipping, then that?s $14.33 for each cd. Not too bad. I?m definitely going to buy this set some day, but i?ve been spending too much money lately.

Also, if you scroll down the page you?ll see another Leary cd.  This cd is an hour long spoken word disk with both Leary and Ram Das. I?m sure i?ll purchase that one as well, but that?s even further down the road. Below is a picture of the "Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out" record from 1966. The Pacifica disks don?t come with covers, but that?s what the album looked like when it was out on record.

I'd prefer they would offer his talks for free like on Terence McKenna's website but I guess hardcore Leary fans might wanna buy his CDs.

Thanks for the link. They've also got recordings of Alan Watts, Joseph Campbell, and Bertrand Russell as well. I'm gonna drop a bundle of money but its worth it.
