incubation temperatures

I've been reading here that 75-85 is a good range for incubation with the exact range variable for different mushrooms. Would that also be a good incubation temperature for Hericium corolloides? Outdoors it seems to do best around 20 degrees cooler.
For an incubator I'm using a second-hand (free) Gaymar T-pump and T-pad lining the bottom of a large plastic storage container with a rack to hold the plates off the T-pad. It works great for holding at anything around 68oF (20oC) or above but my lack of insulation still needs to be addressed.

Colonize your substrates at normal room temperature. You don't need an incubator at all. 75F is OK for quart jars, but if you're using large spawn bags, keep the temp to 65F or less. I keep my colonization room at 60F. When I point the infrared thermometer at my colonizing substrate bags, they're at 80F to 85F, for a 20 to 25 degree rise above ambient. RR

Thanks for all of that. Our room temperature is usually right at 60 so that's an easy one.
Right now I'm mostly playing with agar on plates trying to get a pure strain of corolloides going. Maybe I'm just a masochist but the last set of plates looks more interesting than the previous ones.
Within the next few days I will be focused on getting shiitake going in spawn bags. This is my first go on that - so far I've only been working with plugged logs. I doubt I'd be doing this as soon as I am if not for this forum and its wealth of information.

Roger Rabbit- Your inspiring mushroom container is said to have 2000 of those bag going if I understood right. The ventilation you have must take care of keeping your temperature stable but what puzzles me is how do you keep the incoming air humidity constant or at least stable? Or is that not a problem? Apologies if that sounds like a stupid question but I have not been able to find out more outside of Stamet's discussing systems far beyond anything practical for me at this point. Your buried container is also far beyond me right now but the subject of ventilation is an important one for me to approach well no matter what size I'm at and the housing for your shiitake room is something quite accessible and thought provoking. Thanks for any thoughts. I know you must be incredibly busy with that level of output.

I keep my colonization closet around 77-80F its perfect for incubation.
Then my fruiting area is 65-70F

Thanks! I'll put half the plates in something warmer and the rest at room temperature. I'll try the same with the plates that got spores dropped on them.

Steam injection into the incoming air, as well as spraying the rocks on the floor with water twice or more per day. RR

Thanks for that clarification as I think I now understand how to accomplish that at my present small scale.
