I am thinking of going the other route and making a 4 footer..lol...I do ALOT of flow hood work with an ass-ton of materials, not that it isn't all manageable but peterthinks and morelmans(I think he had a big build as well) make me jealous and I can't just have them strutting around with those caddy's alone, can I?:lmafo:

As far as construction , I think it's just a box, so yours is great, I think countersinking always a plus, measure twice cut once and yadda yadda..Use wood screws for assembly, not drywall screws that seem to be the go to thing with most people not in the carpentry biz.

Also I have my gasket to the inside of the box, no silicone holding the filter in, so it is easy to remove. I have not seen an air pushing out the sides as some have mentioned could be a problem as the front molding holds the filter very tightly against the inside stops.

I am a huge advocate of buying the right parts new, It avoids the weeks long process of troubleshooting that I have seen with your build and some others recently.

not that saving by rummaging isn't great, and now that it is figured out I Know you are in love with it as it preforms like any other, but for me at least, I don't like having to come back to things once they are done, plus should anything fan wise go wrong, I have a 10 year warranty on it.

Edit: Also if building with plywood, use the appreciate saw blades to make your cuts, it sucks when you drop 100 bucks on wood and then use a blade that splinters on  all the edges you cut.

Im thinking a 2x2 is all ill ever need...
1/2 my 4x2 flowhood is now covered with clutter and i only use a 2x2 area
Even with bags, 2x2 is >plenty once you figure out howto move in your sterile air stream

now that I am working on a bigger scale with Edibles, I am running 100 jars at a time, thats alot of moving in and out of my labspace, all which take time and energy, it would be nice if I could get 20 or even thirty jars in front of it at a time. and even if I switch to large bags soon, there would be nothing better than to plop em all down and get to work. I have other work besides my Edibles project, so I am trying to cut out all uneccesary steps and time as I can. It'll cost me a bit, but If I can make it work, I should see those returns back in less than a year. And if it dosen't then, well, I get some big bad ass toys for my hobby....lol

And for sure Evil, you're doing some great work as well of the rest of the guys cleaning up the place, glad I could help in a small way.

I see your reasoning and a bigger table at this point might do the trick nicely..:lmafo:

I am currently confined to a small lab space, I'll start thinking about moving to a bigger room and a larger table  for the time being.
