Hey sweetheart you're a little bit behind the times. The banks returned a profit to the taxpayer. AIG is on pace to and the only entities still fucking the taxpayer are the government/union owned car companies that were confiscated from their rightful owners and creditors and the government agencies Fannie and Freddie.
You are not entitled to your own facts.

I think there are a lot of dangerous countries. In fact I think there is more potential for bloodshed now than during the cold war and that will only increase as our power decreases. Weakness only encourages thugs.

Buying things that corporations produce is not welfare. Speaking of cronyism:
http://thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch/health-reform-implementation/140533-hhs-grants-new-reform-waivers-amid-heightened-scrutiny
Quote:
A week after Republicans announced plans to investigate waivers granted to organizations for healthcare reform provisions, President Obama’s health department made public new waivers for more than 500 groups.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is granting temporary waivers to organizations that would not be able to meet the reform law’s new requirement for annual coverage limits.
That's 500 new ones on top of the 200+ already granted to favored entities, including phonies like these assholes:
http://biggovernment.com/kolson/2010/10/08/union-pushes-for-obamacare-then-is-granted-waiver/
Quote:
The irony would be humorous if it weren’t so sad: The United Federation of Teachers, the New York City branch of the American Federation of Teachers, which pushed ardently for ObamaCare has now requested – and received – a waiver from its mandates.
The UFT is a member of New York State United Teachers (NYSUT). In September 2009, the NYSUT’s website published “Health care reform: facts vs. myths.” Here’s an excerpt:
* Myth: Health care reform will force you out of your current insurance plan or force you to change doctors. * Fact: You can keep your existing insurance; reform will expand your medical options, not eliminate them.
ObamaCare was such a great idea at the time - the AFT gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Healthcare for America Now, the leading organization pushing for the government takeover of health care.
It was announced Thursday that the UFT has requested and received an Obamacare-waiver after it discovered their members would end up losing their health insurance plans. Uh oh.

it is if we dont need to buy it...OK..so the norks might mount a bomb that doesnt explode on a rocket that cant fly...but that hardly justifies spending billions of $$$ on costly weapons systems of questionable effectiveness...

Iran has by no means been 'brought down' by that ingenious virus, but it has been stopped temporarily, which is an excellent thing and I applaud those men of genius who created that virus.
These countries who are ideological enemies of the West and particularly America that seek out weapons of mass destruction to threaten and ultimately use against are by no means 'nothing' states that pose no threat.

From what I read, you implied that by paying taxes working individuals and companies can't cheat the system. And that nonworking individuals can only cheat the system.
That's a pretty false dichotonomy.

I think I'm still seeing it right. You're asking for an explanation for the statement:
Quote:
Corporations that pay taxes are "cheats" and bums who do nothing aren't.
And your tone suggests a lot things, but mostly that you believe the statement is false. Which, if you give me a moment to bash more of my intuitive reactions into a logical shapes , led me to invert your conditionals:
Quote:
Corporations that pay taxes are not "cheats" and bums who do nothing are.
Oh wait! Now I see it. You made an indirect insult:
Quote:
Tell us again why corporations that pay taxes are "cheats" and bums (like you, Annapurna1) who do nothing aren't.
It's goofy trying to tease that out. You're writing is so oblique, and you let the context go unspoken when called on it. I no longer stand by my analysis. It's not a dichotomy, it's ad hominemic.

Still searching, grasshopper? I wasn't asking for an explanation of my own sentence. And you still can't stop mutating it. Pathetic. Go away. Get a job. Pay taxes.

It's the weekend. I'l work when I have to work.
And when I say that you "were asking for an explanation" you do realize that I was speaking analytically -- right in the midsts of cutting through the intrigue of nested quotes? There's more to the thought-process than the one cherry-picked statement there.
There's context, and on cue you're ignoring it. Fascinating
