Need some info on this grow kit.

I have grown before using the pf tek but I am very lazy and was looking for the easy way out. I was looking at the kit at www.Growsystems.com and was wondering if anyone has used it and how it worked? They say they send live mycelium to you and that its legal to send to the usa is this true? Would this kit be better then 4 myco bags? Any input would be nice -Thanks

yea i have it right now. it seems to be working (colonization right now). i'll let you know on my progress

hmmmm....

where are you?

I noticed (well, the big fat maple leaf was a give-away) that the site was canadian. In the magical land of Canada, mycelium IS legal. In other not-so-magical lands *cough*US*cough*, the law works in a very un-nice way, and so mycelium is illegal.

reading the description of their kit sets off a number of red flags. where did they figure that 90% of first time growers fail? it's a made up statistic. with a yield of 4-6 pounds (quite a margin) they must be talking about wet weight, no one uses that to gauge yield. "special disinfectant solution".. what could they possibly be using that they couldn't tell you. also using that straw is going to require pasteurizing, hardly something i'd throw in front of a newbie.

and as far as everyone knows, mycelium is illegal because it contains schedule I drugs. these people aren't a step ahead of anyone, they're behind.. they used to sell mycelium for 'shrooms until it was found out that it was illegal, otherwise no one would bother with spores.

sounds like a joke to me. and why does their page keep refreshing? god, that's annoying
