grow kits and spore prints???

Friend of mine brought a cubensis growing kit back from amsterdam and has kept it refrigerated but has decided not to grow any because she rents the house and is worried that the landlady may kick her out if she finds out what she is growing.
She therefore has offered to give me the kit, but I have been told by other people that the kits are not worth the effort......
so I was wondering, is it possible to use the kit to grow shrooms, then take spore pints from them and make spore syringes to use again on the kit?
would this work? and how many times can u "inject" the same substrate material with spores before it runs out of the nutrients the shrooms need to grow on?

I live in the Uk so growing shrooms is prefectly legal, and I am doing this purely out of mycological interest really only because i've been offered a free mushroom kit!

Yes use the kit to get you started, from it you can get spore prints or clones of the best fruit.You can also get a load of mushrooms as not all kits are crap.I have seen good results and bad results from kits.Just remeber to keep it all as clean as possible and follow the instructions :smile:

once, one time, after the myc. eats it its gone you will need to sterilize more substrate to "inject" spores into

You really need to make up new substrate for any inoculation.
Best to look at a p.f tec or jar tec for you next lot.i.e the ones you may start from the spore prints of this one.
