In the FAQ it says -

"The relative humidity should be from 95%-100%, temperature between 70°F and 75°F, the fruiting chamber should be vented 2-3 times a day to displace the CO2, and they should receive a couple of hours of either indirect sunlight or fluorescent light. "

Is this entirely true? or is it possible to initiate pins at a little lower level of humidity like 80-90%???

Depends what we're talking about. If it's a bulk sub that holds a lot of moisture it'll pin fine around 85, even 80. But if we're talking about something that doesn't hold a lot of water like a pf cake or straight grain, you want to try to keep the humidity up higher.

By the way if you're talking about a shotgun fruiting chamber, don't even worry about the reading on your hygrometer. If it's built to specs, it'll work. Most hygrometers are crap.

Not necessary, but it kinda sounds like it might work. Similar to wax paper, or Ozzie's shower cap in bucket.
