These are some of the first sci-fi books I ever read. Changed my life, if I really consider it, turned me on to radical fiction; fantasy, beat fiction, science fiction, urban mythology and all that jazz.
So yeah, I fucking love Enders Game.

Damn I haven't read those books since like 6th grade I should rerereread them
Stole the words right out of my mouth.
Orson Scott Card is by far one of my most cherished authors, the man just has a way with words that almost no other science fiction writer has yet to master. To me at least. and all the other books are great reads too, a bit winded at times with the dialogue but it's such a well read series that you just can't put it down.
I gotta get to reading again, these books changed my life.

I feel this may be a slippery slope towards full blown nerd-dom. I refused my girlfriend sex tonight because I had to finish S.f.t.D.

That sounds like something I would do
Have you read any Heinlein? He is probably my favorite... Haven't made it through his entire catalog yet, but I'm working it!
Favorite book: Stranger In A Strange Land Honorable Mentions: The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress (Heinlein), The Illustrated Man (Bradbury) and of course Enders Game and Player Piano (Vonnegut)
That's merely my classic sci-fi 'list of awesome' hehe.

Have read both Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead in the last three weeks. Feeling pretty good about the series so far, and plan on reading the next two in the near future.
Problem?
I'm almost done with Xenocide. Was just reading it actually...and to me it's weird this just got a bump.
I still can't believe Orson Scott Card is a Mormon.

Not familiar with Heinlein, to be honest I don't read much science fiction. I am always on the lookout for literature that will put a stranglehold on my attention though.
