Thats backwards thought though. "why would they visit us" is not a reason discard the ton of data that suggests something is visiting us.

That tells me that they can't justify spending billions of dollars to send probes capable of drilling through 15 miles of ice to a planet that may or may not have something like non-photosynthetic microbes

Ever use google? You prolly do not care enough to do any sort of research yourself so why get involved in this thread??
All I will say is dont listen to Ex military / astronauts / pilots / police or any of the others that have witnessed ufos. They do not know anything.

You could start by viewing the pilot / radar sightings link I already posted then look at UFOs and nuclear bases. Thats just the tip of the iceberg but alone should tell you something is up.
We can't explain these away as military craft because the military has no business in buzzing our commercial planes or breaking no fly zone rules.
In the case of the nukes, we don't even have the technology today to take down 10 nuclear war heads. These things were seperate systems designed to not have flaws and a UFO takes out all ten. Its against logic and chance for 1 to shut down let alone all ten when theres a UFO above them beaming down lights into them. This has happened on at least 3 seperate occasions with UK, USA and Russian nukes.
The info is out there, if you havn't been paying attention then its not my job to look for you.

dude, you haven't contributed anything to this either, so why are you so intent on marginalizing anyone who doesn't agree with you?

Yet they spend it visit other places less likely to harbour life

Actually there is no credible evidence.
Saying otherwise means you buy into a much grander conspiracy theory involving censorship, disinfo agents, secret branches of government, etc.

Lots of inserted facepalms and calling people small-minded. No real discussion.

Where did I bash anything? I answered the OP with my opinion. Never claimed to be an expert, I didn't know it was required to participate in this thread.

1000's of radar sightings back up by visual sightings and in some cases accompanied by video or photo. We've sentenced people to death on far less evidence.
Stanton Friedman catalogued about 4000 trace evidence cases where he showed physical changes after UFOs had landed.

Ok fair enough, no one is arguing against unexplained phenomena. But I don't see how this is evidence of extra-terrestrial intelligence.

What physical changes and how did he measure it?
