 Picking up a 'bum'

There's usually a few people in the town I live in sitting on street corners with signs sayin the usual need food or money. But today I saw a guy probably late 20's holding a sign saying "Lets be honest, I want a beer." He had like 4 other signs saying different thangs.
I was with my friend and he didn't want to pick him up.
Now that i'm back home I want to go pick the dude up. Should I?
He looked like a hippay, maybe i'll bring my bawng. 
Anyone ever do this?

I have nothing against picking a homeless guy up, bringing him back to hang out, and giving him a good meal, but I would hate it if he just started showing up at random. Humans are no different than dogs. If they know where to find food and shelter they will come.

Some of them are fairly normal people. Most of them arent.
have you ever read "if you give a mouse a cookie"? It works for bums too.
If you give that bum some money he will ask for a beer, if you give him the beer he will ask for a cigarette, if you give that bum a cigarette he will ask for a joint, if you give that bum a joint he will ask for a burger, if you give that bum a burger he will ask for moar beer, if you give that bum moar beer he will ask for a crack rock, and so fourth.
I used to be homeless but thats how it works.

It's true. First they will ask for money for a pack of cigarettes. When you tell them you don't have any money, he will ask if you can spare a cigarette. Funny enough, I don't smoke.
