Want to try birdseed/straw or dung
    #1378524 - 03/15/03 03:34 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

Hey, I wanna start using birdseed and dung or straw. I have some questions.

1. Does potency depend more on the birdseed, or the dung/straw?
2. Would potency be less if I used crumbled PF cakes (instead of birdseed) on dung/straw?
3. What's the best birdseed tek?
4. Can I use 1/2 pint jars (instead of 1 pint) for birdseed?
5. Straw or dung? Which is best? What are the advantages/disadvantages?
6. Where can I get horse dung from?
7. How much more would the yeild be for a sq ft of birdseed+dung compared to pf casings?

thanks

1. My neighbor says the dung, but he has gotten some killer fruits from  birdseed alone.
2. Nope
3. Six Tango
4. Yes, but you have to use twice as many jars for the same return.
5. My friend has always used straw and dung combined with good results and big fruits. He's still working on getting a prolific pinset.
6. A horse.
7. My friend has never done a side by side comparison but he says that the dung is definitely more productive.

Mix straw with dung tomake the dung last. The potency isincreased by bothe the birdseed and the poo.
