Every year I see kids getting spun out as hell on THURSDAY. There's not even very much music on Thursday.
well if theres not much music on thursday then id probly just get drunk and blow some lines and take it easy then...id be saving all the good stuff for days when theres music all day
3 days is do-able tho, def done 3 day festies before when ive been spun the fuck out pretty much the whole time, but even by the 3rd day i need like 10-15 doses to trip really hard tho...i really prefer tripping everyday at festies lol

Yeah, Thursday is mostly consisted of getting your camp set up, finding friends, and making a master game plan for the weekend.

Probably hitting waka instead of roo this year but I'm waiting until they put out the lineup. Been the past several years and I dunno, I love it, but the heat (temperature) was unbelievable. Literally saw someone drop dead it was terrible. As for thursdays tho, I feel like since its the ten year anniversary and all they're gonna open up at least which stage on thurs. Why not? Last year's thursday was still pretty swell for me because of the fuckin rave field that materialized at the lunar stage. Walked straight up to the front for Dieselboy and turned around three minutes later to a sea of rolling fools, hahah it was great. Terrible location for that stage but I had a blast there thursday.

yeah, roo for me has been pretty weak the last 2 years. for me it is a combination of having my GF with me and the lineup being mostly suck.
having someone with you that you have to worry about is not beneficial to tripping balls. but it has its advantages too.
anyway, i would not have attended these last 2 years if i didnt live 40 minutes away. that really cuts down on your costs and headaches when worst case scenario i can get a friend to bring me something or some shit.
im really hoping daft punk and bowie are there this year, that would sell it for me, but if its some throwback headline like WSP + some Dead + some hip hop act, then fuck it. i dont go for the headliners anyway, because they mostly fail to deliver with a few exceptions.
they need to bring back or add any one of these bands: praxis, manu chao, franti, johnny sketch and the dirty notes, lettuce, jerseyband, zappa plays zappa. but i doubt it, the tents are going to be stuffed with stupid tight jean indy bands playing shitty guitars and shittier riffs. that shit gets so old and is the primary cause of the downfall of Roo.

Holy shit, man. Praxis and Manu Chau were IMO in my top 3 of the best banDs that I saw at 'roo over the years. Both bands fucking blew my mind. 1995 Pink Floyd at Legion Field and the '05 STS9 latenight>sunrise sets are tied for the most stellar live music that I have witnessed, but random acts like Praxis, Les Claypool(anything!), and weird, off the wall bands like Manu Chau(Radio Bemba Sound System) are what make fests like 'roo priceless to me.
That and all of the rockin out between shows.

yeah, zeppelin are sadly done for good. plant is over it, he's doing the boring stuff nowadays. he's more or less lost his chops for wailing. so it would seem, anyway.

When I saw him with Allison Krauss, he wailed his ass off! I didn't think he would have it still, but he definitely does.

Wish i could have seen Diesel Boy- That would have rawked- Him Ak1200 Dara etc. Would love if they replaced all the shitty indie bands-Since its all cry baby shit any how- They should get sepultura to play so they could eat the Indi bands and maybe get some riot started- I REFUSE I RESIST- maybe sparking a revolution, That could be Televised-

Dieselboy doing dubstep is such a waste! I like dubstep okay, but he is so much more suited for dnb or the like.

Meh. I just don't like seeing dubstep in a live setting. A DNB set by him would have been way more enjoyable and danceable.
and
Fuck yeah.
