Cobweb problem
    #13774115 - 01/12/11 10:53 AM (13 years, 1 month ago)

Hello all, long time no see! I have been observing a situation where tubs had cobweb. It's been over a month since sub was spawned with 5 quarts. After 10 days the tubs were subjected to light and fresh air. There was uncertainty in whether cobweb was present or not, and nothing was done to take action to mitigate it, until quite recently.

Right now the tubs have 1 or 2 small fruits each (these are large tubs). After such a period of time, and the late measures taken to rid cobweb, is there any hope for these to produce anything? To me, it seems as though I should probably not take any risks and just toss them.

Any insights are appreciated. Thanks.

when i first see any sign of dactylium i try to control the contam. if applying high akl compound doesn't stop the spread, i just toss the sub out. its a nasty little mold and will spread like wildfire; it just not worth it to me to risk further problems due to the contam.

sometimes using the high alk substance on it helps and will allow the soil to function normally.

It's been fruiting for 3 weeks and you're just now noticing the cobweb? You know it spreads really fast? Makes me wonder if it's really cobweb... pic?

If it's as bad as you say, it would most certainly be garbage. The fact that you got cobweb at all suggests you're not providing enough fae.
