I have read that POs are tastier if picked before they get too old/large.

Is this true, and if so, then how large?

Nice block!

Are there more than one "pink oyster"?

If so, then I fail!

Take care,

JD

I personally think Pleurotus salmoneo-stramineus tastes better than P. djamor. They also fruit at different temperatures. Pleurotus salmoneo-stramineus fruits at a cooler temperature than P. djamor.

That is very interesting i did not realise the fruiting conditions were different. Lovely looking oysters by the way hopefully my straw logs work out as well as yours have.

They aren't doing so great, I need more FAE. I'm going to dunk the brickk of myc after I pick these off, and I've figured out how to do more FAE.
