stoned thoughts
    #1377326 - 03/15/03 04:05 AM (14 years, 1 month ago)

i was pretty stoned before of a single fat reefer after breakfast and i was thinking about acid and stuff. anyway, i'm gonna copy this exactly as i wrote it down.

"mushrooms guided many civilisations in the past. a natural spiritual/psychadelic drug for a largely natural/spiritual world.

along comes the industrial revolution, capitalism and the information technology age, 1950's+. lsd discovered in 1943. many have likened lsd as the digital equivalent of the analogue mushrooms.
maybe acid is meant to be guiding us through these stages of 'civilisation'?
but its not, maybe thats why the worlds so fucked right now..."

just thought i'd post that little snippet

Timothy Leary has a lot to say on these matters.

Try some of McKenna's stuff. Food of the Gods would be a nice place to start.

Leary's autobiography called "Flashbacks" will give you a pretty good understanding of his work and works of many others. It pretty much starts at his first mushrooms experience then just goes from there.
