shroom ratings

from what i understand, anyone can give themselves a shroom, but why is that? I see newbies that registered two weeks ago with nine posts and have like six fuckin shrooms. This pisses me off as it takes away with the whole rating system. It should be to the discretion of the mods on who gets what depending on the quality of information they give, that or just get rid of it.

Im not sure if this has been brought up before, but just my 2 cents.

5 is the max and unless you are rating someone down you give them 5, the ratings are an average and you tend to start high and fall down and work back up

that is pretty ridiculous, i'd rather my ratings compiled by all of my peers on these forums than just a tiny percentage of that population who is already overworked. should i be pissed that i only have 3 shrooms with 30 rates and i've never done anyone wrong, said anything overtly inflammatory, or given anything but helpful advice? really, i don't give a shit, why do you?

Lets make this a big contest and see who can get teh most stars!!!! just kidding, why does it mater if you have shroom ratings our not, i am here to learn as much as i can and share what i know and i dont care if i have a little mushroom under my name or not
