Extreme tolerance?
    #1375635 - 03/14/03 11:04 AM (13 years, 8 months ago)

I just had my first trip in several months last night and it worked very well. I ate about 3/4 of an eigth. I was wondering how long I should wait before I eat some more and if I were to eat some in the next couple days would I need to double the dose to get any effects?

it takes three to seven days on average for your tolerance to be back down.

If you have only done shrooms once in a couple of months then you have not aquired a tolerance yet.

I thought that you could build up a tolerance after just one dose and that you would need to double that dose if you tripped before the 3-7 day cleansing.

I've tripped on Friday and Sunday in the past - never had any problem with tolerance. The same dose produced just as powerful a trip.

People who eat shrooms evry two weeks withoin two to three years develope an intesne tolerance to the effects of the shrooms and the visuals disapper.

Hawaiin users who on their first year or so required only ten fresh Copelandias or one dried gram per dose. WIthin two years of using Coipelandia on a steady basis of two times a month, many users then needed from 50 to 250 to three hundred or so shroms to get the same high.

This was ddocumented over a twelve year period during Mark MErlins Psychoactive Drug Plant Class, Biology 404 at the Universtity of hawaiin in MAnoa.

Sounds like an interesting study, have you got any more details about it? Particularly regarding the tolerance developing to the emotional and physical effects? To be honest visuals have always been the least important and interesting aspect of mushrooms for me, I'd be interested in if any emotional tolerance develops.

See visuals are really what the shrooms are all about. The abitlity to see things and diagnose them to a better understanding of what you are being all about.

As for emotional effects, those are only during a n experinece. OF course the physical also fades with proloinged usage.

And usually the main emotion of psilocybian mushrooms is laughter or crying.

Laughing becasue all of a sudden sthings seem to be very psilly, like psillycybine. or crying becasue everything is so beautiful. Fear can also be an emotion on shrooms for those who do not xpect what is happening to them. Shrooms are not for everyone but most who do them enjuy them but never get the full benifits of what they are all about.

The emotional catharsis mushrooms provide is the most important aspect of the experience for me.

mushrooms really expose the "pure vision"
And I remember reading somewhere, that there is a theory that mushrooms are what brought about human language and the evolution from instincts and primal energy to being more in the unconscious. or somthing along the lines of that.
