Since Redstorm made me think about starting the thread...
Saints should have this game, easy. I expect sort of an exhibition of Drew Brees' huge dong on display.
But making through the wild card route is tough, and they are on the road. It's still a strong D they're facing.
Saints are a playoff-ready team though. They're well rounded and have the one thing that matters most, a scrappy ass QB.

He was blocked into the kicker. That's the rule.
If anything the refs are favoring the Saints.

well, there goes the first upset of the playoffs.
Sucks for Brees and company. But they'll still be a solid team next year.
Losing to the Seahawks though....that hurts.

let me just say here that the saints lost this game. no refs. no whining. plain and simple. they lost. seahawks played their ass off and if the saints players focused more on tackling than stripping, then maybe this game would have gone the other way. i cant even blame bush on this one. gregg williams all the way. just because your scheme worked great last year doesnt mean that it is going to good this year. sure there were some key injuries, but the saints should have been able to win that game with their eyes closed. nobody to blame but the team.
on a side note, harper and bush are gone next year. i dont care if we just release them. sure i would like a 3rd round draft pick, but who wants a glorified screen pass for 9 million?
again... malcolm jenkins is amazing. henderson ran with the speed of a 300 lb lineman. roby should have played, and i believe he could have but they thought they had this game wrapped up from the get go. I even think ivory could have played but they figured it would be best to win it for the same reason as above.
no power backs, dropped balls, worst special teams = loss to a shitty, shitty team.
now the NFCC is going to be retarded.

NFCC isn't going to be retarded because the Saints were eliminated.
Quite frankly, even if they won this game, they didn't look like a team that would be a force anyhow.

Not really. The Saints weren't even trying to tackle. They were all playing for the strip. What happened in that game was the Saints believed their own headlines. Took the game for granted. Big time disappointment.

I've been afraid of a playoff game like this for a while now for this exact reason. They lost today for the same reason they lost to the Browns and Arizona early in the season.
Overconfident and looking to the next game instead of the hungry, underrated team right in front of them.

What's that? 12-4 and in the playoffs for the second year in a row?
People come out the woodwork and talk shit now that they lost a playoff game, but seem to forget how good they still are.

Hate on em all you want. They still have at least one more SB run in them.

That's cause they weren't tackles (as you alluded to). Everyone was trying to strip the ball out.
Wrap first. Then try to strip.
Saints D forgot the fundamentals all game long and really paid for it on that play. Not taking anything away from the runner- he made them pay once he gained some momentum. I could see it all happening but could only watch.

GW and the D really failed to step up this game. The offense game them 36 points to work with (about what many people thought they would score), but the defense gave up forty-fucking-one points against the 28th ranked O in the reg season. There is no excuse for that.
GW was awesome last year, but it seemed he and the D choked at the worst times this year. Unless he makes some serious improvements this off season, I couldn't care less if he leaves for a head coaching job.
You cannot claim a man is one of best D coordinators in the league when his defense does what the Saints did against Seattle. No excuse.

Yeah the seahawks beat the defending champions. But the Seahawks are so NFC.(Not Fuckin Cool) they play crappy ass teams, they rarley win, and IF they ever did make it they would certainly be liquified by the opposing AFC (All Fuckin Cool) Team. So if all you do is prepare for crappy ass teams, as the NFC (not fuckin cool) teams do, then you dont know what to do when faced by a great AFC team. the Seahawks win never make it to the super bowl. And now ya know why. their NFC, and Im sayin NFC at all. They have all NFC Players. In my life Ive never noticed they were honestly in the NFL, Mush like Detriot. But their NFC either. Ohh cept for maybe Barry sanders, But he was an AFC player on an NFC team. I could go on all day about AFC players, But I choose not to. But Ill tell ya one thing: Thricaderma is really NFC, Maybe Pins are AFC,, Im not sure right now, as Im still watching barry Sanders Highlights.(BARRY MAN!!!) My Dog Is AFC, and Him and I would prolly beat the seahawks by a Saftey maybe. Marijuana: AFC HeartAttacks: NFC SEX: AFC Ass Rape: NFC Cool summer days: AFC Prison: NFC Peyton Manning: AFC Tom Brady: NFC (on an AFC team,) ok, my pattern is somewhat flawed, but you see where Im going with this. Im out of weed, wich makes this a NFC momment. Peace and stuff, Mr K@

Ok,, The AFC had crappy ass teams from 1985 to 1997. And that is the kinda teams the NFC prepare for, see? Raiders,San fran, detriot, Ever hear of em? if not its likely cause their all NFC. crappy ass divisions,,, Bummy owners, tranvestite coachs, and sideline poeple selling drugs to school kids. I could go on all day about this shit, but its nite time. See theres an AFC way of things, that feels euphoric, happy, 'in the momment," it has a nice beat, with a real bitchin groove. Its somewhat remenesent of sex.
and then theres the NFC way of things, thats kinda like penis warts. or maybe hepititis,,, it remains unknown, but its still NFC man. Peace, Happiness, and a side of fries. Mr K@

also, the overall record between AFC(AFL) and NFC(NFL) in superbowls is 23-21 with NFC up by 2.
also, in all combined superbowls the NFC has outscored the AFC 1095-907. thats 188 points, or 31.3 touchdowns. also could be looked at as 62.7 field goals, or 94 safeties/conversions.
however you want to view the dominance of the nfc is your choice.

oh and the fact that you guys are arguing over which conference is better is kind of silly.
Both conferences are filled with good and bad teams. It's not like one conference has better teams across the board.
But one thing for sure, both Western divisions suck ass. Why can't you guys just debate about that one.

Oh well. 12-4 ain't bad. They'll be back.

If I recall correctly the Saint's D last year had an inordinate amount of turnovers and TOs for TDs. Now that certainly is somewhat by design but it is also one of the most random factors in a game. Did they change the design this year? No. Whenever you see a team with a huge plus turnover rate you can almost guarantee that it will regress sharply toward the mean the next season. Don't forget that even an entire NFL season is still a small sample size.
