Heating 10 Gallon Acquarium

using a perlite humidity system, temp is starting to become an issue though. Using tank heater in 2 liter pepsi stall. Would a waterbed heater underneath the aquarium bring my temp from 64 to 84?

any suggestions or comments are welcomed

I got my spores in yesterday and have been trying to impliment this atlantis incubation/fruiting chamber. One MAJOR problem I am having is keeping the aquarium from floating. Its requiring at least 80lbs of weight on top of it to barely settle at the bottum. Any Ideas? I can think of none.

Yes, i have thought about that. But I have yet to come up witha reasonable way of drilling a couple holes and preventing any water from leaking out the outer container into my carpet.

what my neighbors see: some pissed off white guy that isnt at work, running around his yard in slippers, pajammas and a nike shirt, filling up and draining a 40 gallon rubbermaid container, kicking it at times and swearing some profanities......they must think i've lost it.

im gonna go fill it up with a significantly less amount of water.

This sounds like it might be better to cement the 10 gallon aquarium instead of bolting it, go to a hardware store and find a cementing compound called PC-11 (marine grade).  That stuff dries harder than almost anything else.
Works great above or underwater and adhears to most surfaces with the exception of polyethylene, teflon and some plastics.  The rubbermaid probably won't be a problem.  A suggestion to eliminate worries about leaking.  :grin:

80 minutes later, a butane lighter, broken aquarium, two horseshoe bolts with 4 nuts, 2 industrial strength zip ties, another rubbermaid container and a rusty knife

a creation of that, only by a dumbass. BUT HEY, its gonna work!
