was jesus an alien?
    #13740453 -

the man supposedly turned water into wine, besides awesome that's not human for sure.
If the "virgin" had been abducted by aliens that could explain a lot about the origin of her pregnancy without sex, and there's the story about him ressurecting.

so, was jesus in fact an(hippie anarchist) alien?

of course he did, that doesn't mean he couldn't have been an alien

Yeah, no shit, of course it's possible that, if he existed, he was an alien.

What ever gave you that idea? For debate one needs a shred of evidence to build on. Try the mysticism forum. You will be well received.

Clearly you didn't uderstand the irony in the answer, I couldn't care less if he existed or not, also I don't have proof of the existence of many historical characters and doesn't mean they didn't exist (although the subject of the post is not the existence of JC).

I was talking about the hypothesis of him being an alien, and logically the hypothesis only applies in the event of him having existed, I thought that was obvious.

There's no point in hypothesizing about whether or not Jesus was an alien because his existence hasn't been proven, he is merely a fictional character from some old-ass book; doing so is akin to hypothesizing about whether aliens that live inside the core of the Earth have big penises or not. :penis:

wow, clearly you have great insights on how theories are created...
actually many theories are built upon hypothesis, I have never seen or read anywhere any type of reference to aliens in the core of the earth with big or small penises so i'll leave that to you, and not wanting to disapoint you, I think it's unlikely you'll find aliens in hot lava

Well we try to weed as many out as possible. The more outrageous get noticed first. Again the Mysticism forum is built for such speculation wouldn't you agree?

Why, because I can recognize which theories are worth entertaining, and which ones aren't?

All theories are built upon hypotheses, the only ones worth entertaining, though, IMO, are the ones with testable hypotheses.

No it isn't, the purpose of philosophy is discovery--there's nothing we can discover by entertaining the possibility of Jesus having been an alien.

What do you suppose such people would say those things are?

PS- you terribly need a grammar lesson, that sentence hardly makes sense; here's how it should read:

Other people are of the opinion, I suppose, that there are some things you could discover by discussing the possibility of Jesus having been an alien.

i wouldnt take lessons from someone that doesnt capitalize the first letter of their sentence. However, even if u were fully qualified to give such a lesson, i doubt that i would put forth the effort of making all of my posts gramatically correct.

Why the fuck even open your mouth at this point? I actually believe it was much more likely Jesus was a mutated unicorn from Narnia.

Jesus ALLEGEDLY turned water into wine
Jesus ALLEGEDLY existed
Proof of sentient alien life? where?
Proof that sentient aliens can turn water into wine? where?

There is literally no evidence for ANY PART OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING.

EDIT: Yes, it is possible for alleged jesus to be an alleged alien but just because something is possible in no way implies that it's plausible
