Theyr doin a screw plate surgery. I don't want to tell him this, but I have probably already had pressure cracks there from before from punching through glass with a brick and duct tape. This is kind of a dumb question but since I should have a lot of extra bone there already from healing from that, should I maybe be concerned about special attribues of my surgery like less screws and definately just a little grow space instead of pushing the bone pieces together(ow!!) maybe even slightly guaranteeing the pinky a good position with the extra lengthage
did a big jump down a cliff in the woods but there wasnt enough snow and punched a big log like perfect "punch in the face" punch with my good hand. Top down xray reveals the bone all intact looking and perfectly straight. From the side however the break is basically 35 degrees, making the pinky (the knuckle) dislocated inward for now. I asked him if the surgery would hurt any of the rest of my hand at all and he said weellll it shouldnt
I want to be able to punch again. Other things to consider would be loss of movement and joint problems
Of course you'll be able to punch again. The idea of punching through glass didn't stop you from actually doing it and breaking your hand the first time, so I'm sure if you're stupid enough to keep wanting to punch, you'll doing it regardless if you have screws in your hand.
