I've looked for a source of Rye Berries in the Houston area but can't seem to find any! Is there anyone that can offer up suggestions around here?

You should have a Whole Foods. I am almost sure they should carry it in their bulk goods.

It took me a while of calling around my neck of the woods before someone mentioned that they had winter rye, but no rye berries....I jumped on that, and now in stead of paying a dollar per pound at whole foods, I now pay 40cents per pound of thegood stuff.
Try using some of the other names when you call livestock feed stores in your area, they might know it by a different name.

Sorry, but it looks like you have four of them. Bellaire, Woodway, Kirby, and Wilcrest.

Yes, I have several FEED stores around me but it seems they only have the Rye Grain Grass Seed and don't have the grain! I'm not having any luck. Also, I called Whole Foods and they claim they don't have it but I've thought about going over there and checking for myself and not rely on some lazy phone receptionist.
I've found 1 health food store the sells 16 oz bags, but I was looking for me.
I've been a little confused when dealing with the feed store because the call it different things but I think I'm looking for the Grain and not the Grass Seed!

Most people who work in health food stores has no idea what rye berries are.
Go look for yourself.
It is there.
And if its not.
They will order it for you.
Simple.
Really.

Yeah, I've called them and they don't seem to have the GRAIN only the grass seed! I'm a little confused with all the terminology since nobody calls it Rye Berries. When I ask for "Winter Rye" they are referring to the grass seed.

As I mentioned in another post, I've talked to EVERY Whole Foods in town and they CLAIM to not have it. The guy I spoke to said they could order me a bag, but I would rather LONG-TERM Solution and a FEED Store solution since it will be cheaper.

I did go to one feed store and called many others. I asked for "Winter Rye" and they said yes the had it. So I went there and it was Rye Grass Seed which is my understanding I don't want.
Tonight I was able to find it at one of the Whole Foods store but $1.39 a pound so I would love to find it at a feed store cheaper.
