i'm sure more than one of us has been busted.... i've tried searching for the past two hours and have came up with nothing of interest. i can find the definition of the crimes i'm charged with but not the punishment parameters... could anyone point me to a website with KY's penal code AND the according punishments??

if you feel like giving me your charges i can get at least a general idea of the sentancing.
-------------------- "A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
Call an attorney where you live and ask them what part of the Kentuky code deals with criminal offenses. Then go online and go to your states web site. You'll probably find a link to something probably called the "annotated code". Most have search features. Go to the section that the attny told you had the criminal code and start reading. There should be links to sentencing guidelines or perhaps you may have to look at the "administrative rules" to find that out. All in all it's tough to say as each state is different. You should be able to find a lawyer who will at least talk to you about your case as they are kinda required to do free consults and even take some free cases as part of thier ethical responsiblities, not that they usually have any idea about being ethical or they wouldn't be a lawyer eh?
let us know how it goes.....
