Check out yoga, too.  It can really work wonders!

Don't get intimidated by some of the insane stretches you might come across.  Start off slow, with the basic stretches.  With regular practice, your flexibility will increase while your anxiety decreases!

If you keep it up, you will eventually be able to contort your body into some amazing positions!  It is extremely good for your health, both physically and emotionally!  There are tons of magazines, books, videos and websites out there that can get you started if you are interested.

I highly urge anyone with anxiety to at least give it a try!  It can be really difficult at first if you are not very flexible, but within a couple weeks (with regular practice), you should be able to do things with your body that you never thought you could do! :smile:

Yeah I try to do yoga I am just not consistent in my practices. I do 'tenses' or whatever you call em. isometric muscle work makes me all light headed. feels pretty good too. i really need to get my spine healthier though.. im always slouching, the ridges through my shirt.

Stress is a bitch, our society runs on it. I imagine that most people have behavioral patterns that have developed due to stress. I couldn't even begin to count mine. Im pretty sure I've got some psychosomatic illnesses.
