The only time I notice a smell is right around harvest time. Then it gets pretty musky and mushroomy.

"There is really no reason to beat up on people for asking a simple question... How about you just ignore the thread and allow someone who WANTS to answer the question give a reply..."
Most people around here are mature adults who are aware of the possible legal consequences of cultivating active mushrooms. They try to discourage kids living at home with mom and pop from growing actives under the radar, because the legal implications extend to the parents also. All it takes is one loud-mouthed friend to blab to the wrong person, and all of a sudden the kid is in juvenile detention, the parents have to sell their home to fight a legal battle, and everything is totally FUBAR'd.
I've noticed a recent influx of newbies heavy on the "I need to hide it" aspect of cultivation. Way more than usual. Doc is right about this time of year, they come out of the woodwork, so you can understand when we are suspicious and jump to conclusions.
The only thing more irresponsible than encouraging kids to grow at home is ignoring threads where someone sounds like this is their intention. Doc is doing the right thing here and I stand by him, even if he was off this time, you have to consider his motivation. People here usually just want the best for our little community.

Yeah, but I wouldn't say that it stinks up a room. I usually have to stick my nose in the box in order to smell anything.

LMAO!!! I'm sorry, but taken out of context I almost pissed myself!!
And because I feel a little vulgar:
Sorry about the hyjack, but I had to say that! hehehe, as far as smell goes, If you did have someone say something, I always keep fresh edibles around as I love to cook with them. That way I just point to my fridge and say thats what we're eating for dinner!

I have FINALLY written up a couple teks as to how SHP has done things in the past. DISCLAIMER: This is not for the newbie to mycology, and not going to work for everyone! This is simply what works for one person when other teks and methods have failed miserably! ~~~~~How SHP does their unconventional WBS Prep!! all the childen get new puters for christmas. and immediately use them to find ways to get high. that kind of shit gets sites like this shut down. some kid succeeds growing shrooms and they and/or their friends eats them and flips thier wig. they get busted, it hits the news, and suddenly millions of uptight parents are calling to stamp out more information "for the good of society".
whatever. i cant say i wouldnt have done it at 15. but just read. dont talk to us. and erase your web history. and use a proxy. or just go away and come back in a few years.
