Northwest Passage long johns?
    #13691512 - 12/27/10 03:15 PM (14 years, 23 days ago)

These are the best long johns (long underwear) I've ever owned in my life. They are a wool cotton acrylic blend and are super warm. They are incredibly durable too. I've had a pair for like 10 years, and yeah, they are a little tore up, but I've worn them TONS over that time. They are incredible.

Only problem is- I got them as a gift years ago, and can't find anywhere to buy them. Does anybody know where to find this brand?

Yes, I've tried the Google.

I like my duo-folds, which are a wool/cotton product.  In fact, even when it's -20, I can't hike in them without overheating.  I carry them in my backpack for after I make camp, and for sleeping in cold weather.  I've never heard of the brand you're mentioning.

the duofolds that I bought I was pretty disappointed with. They kept me warm enough, but the pants rubbed threadbare in the crotch area within a few wearings. The shirt fared better, but still not NEARLY as durable as these Northwest Passage ones. They must have quit making them because they last so long.

Seriously though, I work outside in the winter and wear my longjohns a TON and these have lasted me literally 10 years at least. The pants are a fairly worn by now, but the shirt is still in fine shape aside from a couple tears on the sleeve from blackberries. They are incredible. I really wish I could find them again.

Now that I think about it, both of my pair of duo folds are over 20 years old and in perfect shape.  They've probably started making them in china or something if yours wore out that fast.

Yeah, I think they have. That's one thing about these Northwest Passage ones, is they were made in USA. Probably nobody makes them here anymore...

Good ol cheap Chinese crap. Sure does drive consumerism, since shit don't last like it used to. You gotta buy it way more often:crankey:
