Thats definately contamination. That jar is no good theres to much of it to even think about cutting it out. So you need to work on sterilization becaues your not doing a step properly or it wouldnt turn green. Did you sterilize it at 208 degrees in a pot with water? if you didnt go above 200 basically your probably gonna have contams. My first attempt was done wrong because i didnt have it hot enough. I suggest you go buy a turkey thermometer if you dont hvae one.

Franks - 120 degrees Celsius is 248 degress Fahrenheit so that is really close since 15Psi is 250 degrees.
The contamination could have came during the innoculation process and not necessarily during the sterilization process.
You might want to look at the way you are innoculation the substrate.

Throw it out and start over. I'm sure you'll take an extra level of precaution and sterilization next time around. But don't get too down, even the most experienced of growers experience contams from time to time.

haha ok sorry, little mis understanding there - I live in The Netherlands you see
Yes I already did'nd have a good feeling about the inoculation process...
I only heated the tip on the syringe, not the whole needle... but i shove it in completley... maybe that's the problem?

You don't have to use 98% alcohol (i.e EVERCLEAR) just use rubbing alcohol

Script - flaming the needle after each jar is real time consuming. Use an alcohol soaked paper towel or a cotton ball to clean the needle every time you remove it from the jar.

If you sterilized the jars in the pressure cooker(how long? ) then the mold contamination is likely not due to insuficient sterilisation. Where do you see the mold, is it on the inoculation points or throughout the jar? Edit: Ok, I missed the picture first..... Looks like your spore suspension is contaminated. Where did you get the spore syringe from?

As a test, when you make your next batch, leave one jar non inoculated and see what happens with it. If it doesn?t contaminate, you know that your sterilization procedure before inoculation is OK.
