I've never liked retarded people... actually, I've always DISLIKED retarded people. Most of the time they're annoying and just seem like a waste of space, IMO. Idk, am I a bad person for it?

That's funny, I have always liked retarded people. They are generally innocent and kind IMO, far better than your average person.

That's fucked up. I've taken care of a child who was mentally challenged. It affected the family deeply and it inspired me to help more mentally challenged people.

I've always only disliked slightly retarded people. They tend to be more obnoxious and irritating and gross than Down's Syndrome types, which are fun and innocent.

Everyone is different to me. I've been around many "retarded" people. They are just different, but let me tell you this. You can't categorize them all, because some of them are assholes, they're just handicapped assholes. And some of them are super nice people, just handicapped regular people.

Maybe I've just had bad experiences. My stepmom's old job was to take care of mentally retarded people, and she would bring some over on the holidays. They were the type that even their own families didn't want anything to do with them.
I met my friend's little brother who has Down's Sndrome, and he was very funny and nice, but other than him they've all been rambunctious.

When I was a lil chitlin I would go to work with my mom who took care of mentally handicapped kids. Some of them were pretty cool, some were assholes. I remember this kid Isaac, he was I would guess about 16 and I was like 7. He was in a wheelchair and would try to run my ass over, so I would flip him the bird. He learned this, but did it wrong. Instead of raising his middle finger, he would raise his index and thumb like an 'L'. I would laugh at his retardedness and he laughed back at me.
This other kid would always carry around a stick and try to hit people with it. I didn't really like him. He wasn't happy-go-lucky like Isaac, just an asshole.

I like them because they tend to be far more appreciative of gesture and will never take you or your actions for face value. For example, you could give them a terribly made macaroni and glue Christmas card and that alone would be more meaningful to them than any other gift you could give. You know what I mean?

when i was a wee lad at catholic school, i had gym class with retards.
my gym teacher worked in a program i guess, she was also a lesbian 
but any ways, it was two full grown adults accompanied by a large black guy who was thier keeper. Tony and Terra were thier names.
tony was able bodied, like 7 feet tall and had a porno stache all he could say was "who" like an owl, over and over and over. terra was in a wheel chair, and was the kind of tard that's always happy and flailing like an epileptic, she couldn't talk she could only scream like "daaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!" over and over and over.
all they would do is make thier way around the gym while the children were running laps.
i'm not going anywhere with that story, but yea.
i don't hate retards, when thier quiet. but i do hate the screaming retards.

I guess I am "friends" with a mentally handicapped person, who I've known for most of my life. While he can be annoying, he means no harm. They're people too. He likes movies & games (obsessively). I recently got him hooked on L4D and now its all he talks about. 
He cant play it on PC at his house - but he was very excited to get an xbox from his parents.
He's semi-smart but just wont ever make it in the real world. I feel bad for him.

I think its kinda wrong to dislike them. They can't help that they're the way they are. But I've always wondered if retarded people can live a fulfilling life. To me it would suck never being able to live on my own, or not be able to do for myself. I kinda feel like if I were to ever get pregnant and find out the baby would be mentally retarded that I would rather not have it, just because I wouldn't want the kid to have a shitty life. But I may be completely wrong, maybe they are happier than normal people.
