.. and some macro shots.
What are those? I saw those today in the foothills and thought they were just some cyanescen look alike! If they're good I may possibly have an amazing patch to get at.

You didn't even take that picture did you? You found that in a thread you resurrected from the dead last night. That's not very good practice...

And apparently those grow in Australia, which I am far from... I'll go back when the weather clears up to take pictures just to see what they are, but they're not subaerunigosa.

You didn't "see them in the foothills". You found that picture here and being a n00b you are thinking "that's exactly the ones I saw!", but they are not. You need to learn how IDing mushrooms works. It's not about some n00b finding pics on the net, doing a totally stupid pre-identification and then presenting them as what they found. Bring pics of your own finds and don't try to confuse or fool the IDers here, or you won't make very many friends. Thanks.

I didn't try to make that look like my picture anyway, I quoted someone else on a post that had that picture on it. It was re threaded like this.

I saw a patch that looked exactly like this and wanted to learn more about this picture. Quit jumping to conclusions.

No, that's not how identifying mushrooms works. You are still in the wrong.

You should have at least presented the picture as not your own, Ran-D. That was my biggest qualm.

I know how it works, but when I saw them I thought nothing of them and did not want to bother taking pictures and spore prints because I never planned on picking them. But when I saw that picture last night, it looked so strikingly similar that I had to ask. I would never eat the ones I found unless they were confirmed in person, I wouldn't even trust a thread. Not trying to argue with you, but the re thread caused a misunderstanding.

I did not try to make it seem that way, that picture was in a quote, I did not know it would get re-threaded like that.

Hi Welcome.
Please for ****s sake if you want to participate in this forum take a camera out with you, and take real pics and file a proper ID request.
You are making the rest of us newcomers look bad.
I have more words for you but i believe there are some bylaws against hate-full posts.
