Premonition?

Was driving home from the gym in my car in auto-pilot mode tonight. You know, where you are playing out fantasy scenarios in your mind with just enough consciousness to guide your car home. (FYI, I am a v-e-r-y safe driver - 30 years with two minor "accidents".) As a former motorcyclye driver I would rarely daydream as defensive driving is a must to stay alive.
Well suddenly I had an image of my car getting t-boned by someone running the light and my poor little life getting snuffed out. This snapped me back to full awareness. At the very next light, a little old lady took an illegal left turn directly in front of me. I was travelling about 45 mph. With some quick braking and steering, a collision was narrowly avoided. Whew!

That was YOU? Jeez, my mom nearly had a heart attack.
-------------------- To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.' Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence. Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains. Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

Heh, heh. You always have a good comeback, however, I doubt this lady was even vaguely aware that she almost got creamed.

maybe a psychic link?
last night me and my friends were driving back from IHOP and its like 3 oclock in the morning and we had the herb in our system. well anyway i was just off in wonderland as usual
anyway.... i was just looking about wandering in my head, and i saw this hand coming at me, and im in the front seat and i thought it was my friends hand come to grab my face or something and i was like "WTF" in my head. but his hand hadnt moved or anything. and about 45 seconds later my friend freaks out and is like WTF was that. he said he saw a big black hand coming towards him. the hand i saw was his. the hand he saw was a black hand. kind of funny. heh heh thought i should share that... seems like a pretty good time to throw that in.

we give out magnetic fields dont we.. or vibrations... say our mind was working with these vibrations... mimicking our own thoughts, those vibrations could travel to another person, and thus recepting the thought or whatever have you and so could "see" the same instance...

WTF... I saw the same thing last night when I was stoned too, like a giant hand in front of my face trying to grab me. That's weird.

Perhaps when one's mind is in a state such as yours was prior to the "almost-accident," it is more open to occurrences of ESP-type phenomenon like the one you possibly experienced.
I wonder if there are ways of testing this. Thanks for sharing the anecdote, Swami; it really got me thinkin'!

Hehe, lol, so true so true
Tell me something people,
Pre cognition is to predict short-term, like when you begin your day you know whats about to happen, or like deja-vu you about danger just before it just happened, kinda like the guy who posted this.
Then would clarvoyance be long-term predictions like you know whats about to happen the next couple of years.
What exactly is the difference in clarvoyance, and pre-cognition?

So yesterday I get on the bus to head to work and about 2 blocks away from my house this car blows into the intersection, completely ignoring the stop sign. I'm thinking, uh oh, she's gonna get hit - then BOOM!! The bus clipped the back end of the car, sending it in an uncontrollable spin thru the interesection, knocking over a crosswalk sign, then to stop on the opposite side of the road. The bus pulled over and the bus driver ran to see if the girl in the car was alright, and I just sat back wondering "wtf?" with my headphones on, thinking "Oh cool.. I'm gonna be late for work!". I filled out a witness report and what not then made my way into work on the next bus that came to pick us up. Fun Fun!
No premenition involved, but seeings how we were discussing car accidents and what not...

Good and evil loose all objective meaning and are seen as equally necessary and contrasting elements in the masterpiece that is the universe.
