Bottom line when it comes down to government
    #13657024 - 12/19/10 04:32 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

Do you think it is mostly individuals such as politicians looking out for their best interest or the orginization as  a whole trying to maintain control and power?

Obviously theres both in there but which is more important to government agentz?    :strokebeard2:

Both--it is in each individual politician's best interest to maintain the organization as a whole's control and power.

What I want to know is who is above the government and what that agenda is.

Example, past presidents have tried to gain access to UFO files and such.

They are straight up denied access. How is that possible??

How are you so sure that there is somebody above the government with an agenda?

It depends on the power of the position. A very powerful official can disregard his orders from special interests, but a low value official takes orders, or is replaced.

Well you know this is all speculation, but a president stays for terms of what 2-4 years maybe more with re-elections etc. But the Government agencies and generals are there 20-30 years +++ and don't change? that should tip some people off to the fact that the president really is not running everything that happens, he's kind of like the new guy on the job in comparison.

I think majority of the most public politicians are doing the job for their own benefit, as a career move. But every now and then a gem like John F. Kennedy comes along, a president of the people, by the people, for the people.

In rephrasing - i think individually most politicians are motivated for their own personal reasons, but collectively as a whole, the administration together and the joint body of politicians are working together for the greater good.

It's four years (at least here in the US).

An individual can hold no more than 8 years in office as President.

So i have no official source - and you can discredit and disregard my arguement as you please, thats fine. But there is no constitution, convention or legislation stating that with the re-elected president new heads of places like FBI, CIA, NSA....etc etc etc have to be re-appointed. What about all the generals and top military personel in the pentagon and what not. These entities function autonomously, in my opinion.

Sure the president technically has the final word, but the president also generally tends to take advice and be steered by his more learned and experienced comrades and advisors.
