 Friend will be spawning manure with a cake today

Here's the plan; Your advice, criticism, etc., is welcome.
1. Open bag of EarthGrow brand organic manure.
2. Scoop manure into 2 empty coffee cans until 1/2 full.
3. Add to both boiling water and mix until moist, not wet.
4. Cover both with doubled foil.
5. Place them in preheated oven set at 180 F for 45 minutes.
6. Let cans cool in oven for a couple of hours, covered.
7. Take can A and put BRF cake on top of manure inside.
8. Take can B and scoop, with a sterile spoon, manure into can A, covering the cake completely.
9. Recover can A with foil and incubate at ~ 80 to 90 F for a week or two.
10. Remove foil and fruit.
I realize that poo rather than manure would be better to work with, but my friend will be using the bagged manure anyway as he has a large supply. Also, the strain is Cambo.

I was trying to figure out the difference between poo and manure. I just can't do it. If anyone else figures it out then please let me know. LOL

Manure = straw/hay/poop/urine/feed/sawdust; composted.
Poo = straight from the herbivor's ass.

Would the boiling water get the poop too hot?
Make sure it doesn't get too hot in the oven either (thermometer), maybe a setting of around 165 or 170 instead of 180 (like afoaf said, 170 to 175 is ideal).

To pasturize, A set time at a given temp DOES NOT WORK.
Use a meat thermometer, to insure the center of a substrate reachs a desired temp, then TIME from there.

If someone measured the temp of the water on top of the pillow case containing the poo and set a timer for an hour and a half when it reached 175, would it be safe to assume that the core of the poo had reached at least 170, sustained for the appropriate amount of time?
