Hey guys just chillen bein bored and what not. anyone ever think of possibly creating a religion around psychedellics and such? i mean we feel they connect us in such magical ways to the earth and what not. it could center on the fact that these tools teach us about our inner depths and what not. possible ideas anyone?

Making stuff like that a religion is what turns it un-chill.

Great idea, we need more dogma around here.
Plus in the US there are already at least two legal religions around psychedelics.

Santo Daime is a syncretic spiritual practice founded in the 1930s in the Brazilian Amazonian state of Acre by Raimundo Irineu Serra,[1] known as Mestre Irineu. Sometimes called simply the Doctrine of Mestre Irineu[2], Santo Daime is syncretic in that it incorporates elements of several religious or spiritual traditions including Folk Catholicism, Kardecist Spiritism, African animism and South American Shamanism. Originally, Santo Daime teachings had no basis in written text, as early practitioners were illiterate[citation needed], learning being experiential, through singing of inspired hymns exploring the perennial values of love, harmony and strength through poetic and metaphorical imagery. The hymn collections of early practitioners have since become the sacred works of the doctrine. Ceremonies, called trabalhos meaning "works", are typically several hours long and are undertaken sitting in silent "concentration", or sung collectively, dancing according to simple steps in geometrical formation. A drink known as Daime, containing several psychoactive compounds is taken as part of the ceremeny. The drink Daime, as it was named by Irineu, is also known generically as Ayahuasca. Dai-me means "give me" in Portuguese. The phrase "Daime força, daime amor" (give me strength, give me love), recurs in the doctrine's hymns. The drinking of Daime can induce a strong emetic effect which is embraced as both emotional and physical purging. Santo Daime churches promote a wholesome lifestyle in conformity with Irineu's motto of "harmony, love, truth and justice", as well as other key doctrinal values such as strength, humility, fraternity and purity of heart. The practice became a worldwide movement in the 1990s.
They have an active church in my little town.

No not with them and I have been invited. They use the medicine within a christian religious context that is a big turn off for me. Also I'm not big on tripping with groups unless it's Burning Man and there's lots of dancing going on.

Making it & growing crystals is very fun, although i really think that smoking it is totally disrespectful to what its about, my recent mushroom encounter confirmed that it can go just as far with just as much intensity, it simply takes focus.
Just looking at the crystals when i was high was so powerful, they looked like a mycelium network morphing into crystals vice/versa, i don't even think taking them orally is why they are here, i put it that they can possibly conduct some force in another way

I doubt it would be possible to do, but if one would to attempt it, a process should be set up, something like: People can submit an idea, and motivate it. (1 idea/week) Then a discussions during which the idea might get altered/improved. (1 week/idea) Then a vote if it is worthy. (yes/no) If the vote succeeds the idea gets added to the "shroomery bible".

i think a religion based around mushies could probably fly with enough of a movement. But i dont think any other psychs than naturally occouring ones could ever have a successful following. Image is important despite facts, as evidenced by the common views and laws around drugs.

agreed. it should center around the naturally occuring psychedellics, specifically shrooms. i mean acid was cool and all. but i usualy always felt something spritual about shrooms. also dig the idea once a week thing and then talking about it that week or the following. the bible should center more around what people's thoughts and what they got out of a trip more so. growing need not be mentioned i feel as there are many resources for that. more about what a shroom teaches one about one self and there apritual realizations maybe. like i was about the start abandoning the idea but after the last 2 posts i feel like it could be done. maybe like a resource on what to make of a trip, intense or even a smaller mellow one. but i do think the more intense deeper trips yeild more introspectivness. and possibly collective date? IE: multiple people write and provide there input to different sections.
