1/2 pint jar not fully colonized but has started to pin

the bottem of 1 of my pf jars isnt fully colonized but there are about 5 huge pins... getting real long & starting to bruise, what should i do?

did you expose them to light during colonization?
you have to be creative. if you have a quart jar, i would go some where with no drafts, spray down the room with lysol and switch jars. turn the pf jar upside down, unscrew so you can lift the glass, then swiftly pop the clean quart jar over it. that's what i would do at least...maybe you could even scrape the uncolonized substrate off...

i cant scrape the uncolonized susstate off... its on the bottem middle part... so i would have to cut the cake in 1/2 basically which i dont wanna do

if you dump the jar out, you can scrape it.
it seems you dont want to do anything evasive..so just leave it then.

"all words were forwarded by my neighbors manager @ kfc" well later imma go try to get a quart jar & try to transfer it... that seems alot easier then scraping it =P & no light was exposed, all my jars were covered with foil... i think its just b/c the cakes have been colonizing for a while & they jes started to pin naturally
