I don't know shit about extracting but I do have a friend that makes tinctures. They're damn potent and store for a long time in a standard wine bottle with cork. There's tek's on the net just do some searching.  Good luck!

i know alcohol can extract some of the magic because i have added ground material to whiskey, filtered the solids, and enjoyed.

i use hexane to make some damn fine oil from bud... Dont know bout shrooms though...it evaporates a lot faster an cleaner then alcohol

Use everclear 190 proof, alcohol is one of the very best solvents for psilocybin and psilocin. Grind it to as fine a powder as possible, mix then filter out the solids. There are no issues figuring out dosage, it's simply division, don't let someone tell you its hard, it's grade school. The extraction should take place almost immediately so a long 'sit and wait' period is unnecessary (if it's powder). When you're done you can put the solvent in a hot water bath and reduce it to a manageable volume then put it in a glass pie pan an evaporate it using a fan on low speed.
Good luck-btw there are no concerns about methanol using something made for human consumption already

i hope people know that pure psilocin/psilocybin oxidize very fast.
it might last a while in alcohol or w/e you extracted into.
but if you evap it and try and get a pure psilocybin it will just turn to salt

I Second this. Yes, use everclear. That is the procedure I remember from Professor Fanaticus. I also believe a mention that it was stored in a freezer. I don't have the fanaticus info. If anyone has the text of the PF story which details the extraction please PM it to me.

I would highly recommend one of these , for an ethanol extraction. You can build your own if you have the individual parts, but it's a real pain. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soxhlet_extractor
I'd just use 95% grain alcohol, if it's legal there (which I'm sure it is...) and let it sit in there for a while. They're fun to watch, too.

Yes it is. And so are the magic mushrooms, dried and fresh. The legalization dates from 2008. Then the fresh mushrooms were still legal. But minister Klink passed a law that made psilocin and psilocybin illegal since 2008.

That's untrue too. Growkits are legal, but from the moment you open them with the intentions of growing the mushrooms, you are doing something illegal. It's because the mycelium doesn't contain psilocyn or psilocybin, only the mushrooms do.

No, sclerotia are a kind of truffle. They basically are hardened mycelium that contain food reserves for the fungus (thank you wikipedia). The sclerotia found in smartshops mostly come from the Psilocybe mexicana A strain. They're also referred to as philosopher's stones.
