Thanks to GW America will be close to 2 trillion in debt after his policies are put to practice NOT including the cost of bombing another third world country. This is in less than 3 years after having a surplus.....
I don't understand how anybody with a brain can defend this complete moron.......but bring it on, fools have something to teach.....

This exact same budget mess happened with Reagan. The result was recession. Inflation went through the roof just as we are seeing now. Bush is simply robbing the coffers for his buddies and we will have to pay. Children will be born oweing money for this...... in fact there was a sign in NYC that showed what every man woman and child in the US owed because of our national debt.
Do you run your finances this way? Does it really need to be explained?

I'm looking here at the Financial Indicators from last December. Under the Federal Finance section for the year 2001, we see a 127.1 billion surplus. 2002, we see 158.5 billion deficit. WTF?! Looking back on the years, you can actually see exactly where Clinton came into office. And then Bush.

I posted a national debt question which nobody answered a while ago. How can a country get soo far in debt with no consequences? I mean when Im in debt I get daily phone calls and threats to get my stuff taken away or my wages garnished...
So who collects from the government and whose responsibility is it to make sure they pay back all that money?
I say that the US as a whole garnish the governments taxes. Well pay the same amount but 30% of it will go to pay off the debt and the government wont be allowed to create more debt for its self, if they dont agree to this we should start auctioning off government buildings and fighter jets...

"Dept" usually implies that the one in dept is actually supposed to pay it back. That's not the case with the national dept. That dept is owed to the Federal Reserve, who prints the money we use. Our dept to them is what makes the money valuable. Basically they promise to convert your US currency to another vaild form of currency. They can afford to convert the currency because the US owes them the money that the currency is worth (plus interest, but thats another story). How the system is setup, however, there is never enough cash in circulation to actually pay back what is owed. It's a never ending cycle of dept. Because we cannot pay back what we owe, we must in return provide political "favors" to those in charge of the Fed. That is how our government was "bought" from the people. That is why we find ourselves slaves to an economic system that give a select few a great advantage over the masses. That is why our economic system will crash, burn, and take everyone down with it except those responsible.
