This is the clone on agar.This was cloned from shop bought stock and is by far the fastest mycelium in my gene bank :smile:

This is it colonising millet and doing it well :smile:

Tomorrow im going to spawn it to composted straw and manure.With a little fresh chopped straw mixed in.

But i heard here that it needs a biologicaly active caseing layer?is this so?
If so i live quite near a button farm and this could be my excuse to go visit :smile:

Potato Dextrose  Agar (PDA)
broth from boiling 150 grams sliced potatoes
in 500ml water for 30 minutes(add water to 500ml)
9 g agar agar
10 ml Local honey
.88ml of  17% Peroxide

Was what it was cloned onto and i've just got a clone of the same speices but the brown chestnut button on the same recipe.Good luck with you efforts with them :smile: there still one of my favs to eat.

So far as I know, peat and lime will do the trick. My casings are hoping I'm right.  :smirk:

Very good! As far as I know they need active casing so you shouldn't sterilize it.
