cobweb shows up for 2nd flush, still good?

uhhh, some cobweb appeared on my friends cake, he keeps spraying it with water and peroxide and it goes away but comes back, is it still safe to eat the mushrooms that come off the cake?

it wasnt to severe, some patches here and there. is cobweb poisonous?

Cobweb is toxic but as far as i know it's the less dangerous. If the patches were small and not in contact with the mushrooms, i'd say they are ok.
It's your call though, so don't fool yourself.

if the cobweb did attack any of the mushrooms, wouldn't they stop growing? I plan on drying them, however I am going to cut open the stems to make sure that no rot has occured... has anyone gotten sick or very ill from cobweb before that you know of?
