So #9 is still a mystery then?
Also, can anyone comment on differences between galerina and tubaria? They seem to be thrown out together/mixed up a lot of the time..
Funny how my post count shoots up during finals week. We can pretend it'll help me on my mushrooms final, right?

I'm not sure there is a clear way to differentiate Tubaria from Galerina, except by phylogenetics.

Theoretically Tubaria have subdecurrent gills and thin-walled, unornamented spores whereas Galerina generally have adnexed/adnate gills and ornamented spores.

The problem is that those features of Tubaria can also be seen in Galerina, so don't actually separate the two.
