I have made oyster grain spawn and colonized a laundry basket full of straw, It looks mostly white and all lovely.
But I've gone to place it outside (removing the clingfilm) and after the first 3days it was apparent that it was way too cold for something/anything to grow. (way unexpected frost/snow for my area this year).
I have cats and a wife so just leaving it by a window is out of the question ...what I do need is advice on how to fruit it indoors in several smaller containers. I don't know what i need, I haven't cased anything before or even know if thats the best sort of thing to do.
If this can go from flop to fruit I'd appreciate some expert advice, this site is great for friendly informed advice..and i think now I know why. Going from mycelium to fruit is just a plain pleasant thing to be getting on in your life in the background

You look closer and it is made up of just as unique and wide span of sub-features bursting with potential to become paintings themselves.

The problem i have is I HAVE A HUGE laundry basket full of straw.. So I can't build a terrarium without building a few or a huge one.
What I should have asked was for the best method to split the straw into trays and what the hell to case it with? Preferably something cheap and UK available.. Like a huge lot of say pasteurized verm and sawdust?

Put up a ceiling hook in your shower, hang it from that. Add a CFL bulb in a clamp light.
-------------------- You make it all possible. Doesn't it feel good?

yeah I can't do that
If i just put the straw in the bottom of a tub and cover with pasteurized verm like a mono tub would that work. There's allot of stuff i just can't get And stuff I'm still wrestling with the how too of :S
