my friend was thinking about growing some cheeba for fun but he want's to grow inside. he lacks sufficient room for a full plant. can he clip and keep the plants in smaller jars to dwarf them?

Just keep them well trimmed. A friend of mine has a closet space that he uses and the plants are only 2ft tall, but yield about a 3oz a month (Jamaican Lambs Bread Sinsemilia)

he was thinking more along the lines of 1 to 1.5 feet. he's sure it'd work out. he's not growing more quantity as much as entertainment.

some people grow only this way. you'd need to start with a mother plant and take short clones. as soon as the clones are established (rooted, in soil and actively growing), go to flowering. if you do it right you'll end up with plants that are about 1 to 1.5 feet tall and almost 100% bud.

SWIM has a bonsai cannabis plant, now into flowering, with more then 20 growing tips, and nice lil' buds growing.. trimed all way through vegetative, and trimmed the leaves, as Neuro shows it. Works fine, it'e not bigger then 50 cm, and Swim is expecting a nice harvest considering it only been 2 weeks into flowering and the buds look real nice....

what do you mean a "small one" ?
In my experience it can be done with practically any species and strain of cannabis. Except for maybe duckfoot and abc strain as i've never seen one in real life. But even then i think it can be done, you just wouldn't trim the leaves that's all.

SCROG - Screen of Green
This is the best method for small indoor grows, keeping the plant numbers down while increasing yield. The training increases the veg time, but it pays off in the end. Here's a link to a nice directory of other scrog links courtesy of OG....

dont fuck with the fan leaves too much, thats the way the plants get their food to produce fat buds, pinch off the growing tips to create a shorter bushier plant. make sure he is working with a mostly indica strain as well. flower early, but remember plants will grow about 1/3rd of their present height when you initiate flowering. hope this helped.

i've found that cutting off the extra appendages on the fan leaves doesn't affect the bud growth too much. The plant if kept rather small through my bonsai method doesn't really require all those appendages of the fan leaves, and sometimes cause leaf death of the lower foliage.
I've seen bonsai'd buds grown both ways and the potency and bud quality was not even noticably, except the plant with intact fan leaves experienced dying off of the foliage near the base.
The fingers of the fan leaf left intact are more than plenty for photosynthetic food production.

so where each one of those red circles are you'd just cut all the fan leaves except for the middle one? Those pictures are hard to understand due to the shitty drawings.

i don't see any circles, but X's in the one drawing of the leaf. On a fan leaf i cut all the blades except the middle one.
Yeah i know the drawings are shitty, i did them up real quick a while ago. I mean hell i did them in Paint, gimme a break.
