First of all,i don't even know how cold -20 C is. Second of all,there's too many factors to give you a real answer.If it was painstakingly huge,possibly,but I doubt it since y'all get so much snow and cold weather.Most likely it will die,but if you want to go through a LOT,and I mean a fucking LOT of work like realrasta is then you might have some success as far as making through the winter. I wouldn't count on it too much though,I'm sure it would work somehow though.

thats what im trying to provent but yes if it gets cold enough to freeze the ground down a foot then your bed is dead thus the bed is dug and then 5 gallon buckets to deepen the bed without having to dig the hole bed that deep. also no one has siad weather a resavior of water would help and if plastic lining would help keep bugs from attacking it from underground

I just understood what you are talking about with the buckets.No,you'll probably need more than the bucket thing you are talking about.I'd dig at least 2 feet deep and then use this bucket idea of yours if you still wanted too. There's really no point to doing all this work just to have it fail because you didn't want to dig a little more.

yeah maybe that will do it i wanna het to reptile heta pads and put one under each bucket i also will run a ectintion cord to it under ground it isnt going to be that far would that do it.

i could protect it with pvc pipe and put it on a surge protector. that would be fool proof

I don't know man,if you think you can pull it off go ahead but then you have to also put a digital thermometer and shit down there so you can read the temps,that's getting really complicated so you better plan this out REALLY well. And in this hobby,NEVER,NEVER,never ever ever ever say anything is "fool proof" cause that's usually when you land flat on your ass

well ill give it the test im mean i have nothing else to do at lest i wont have to worry about the dirt catching fire and ill test how hot they get. i know im smart enough to figure this out but im actually trying it without the heat pads this tim eor i might do to ill post it in a grown log months down the road

NO,I'm from the south,I can't even concieve of temps that cold,i think you may be right about this heating pad thing if it get's anywhere near that cold.Some digital thermoters have a long wire that you can put out the window or something so you can view the outdoor temp while inside,use that in the bed to make sure it ain't too hot

the way you word that it sounds as if you believe -20C is colder than -20F. -20C=-4F; -20F=-29C
