A person I know has some spawned horsedung, it appears to have stalled at about 50% colonization in a couple of small containers. Now on the uncolonized poo he said there are these "white specks" not unlike very small emerging primodia, but they are on the uncolonised areas. Definite white specks he says.. He can't really get a picture but I wonder if anybody has heard of this? He said poo has fought back mycellium before and he wonders if he digs out the colonised parts and puts them together whether that would be a good way of salvaging the spawnings. The white specks are basically unifomally all over the uncolonised substrate. No clumping, very well distributed.
Any help you could give would be appreciated I'm sure, I will try to pass it on asap to him.
