If I "knew it from a religious stand of view"(sic)? You don't know anything about me. My grandfather is a Methodist theologian. I went to a Catholic High School. I've had powerful religious experiences of my own. I know the "religious point of view" far better than many people here. And having had deep first-hand exposure to both Protestant and Catholic worldviews, I can say definitively that both fall under the heading of "Christianity."
lol like i stated before.... you were raised catholic..... wow. .. how protestant? your grandfather? you said u were raised catholic.? im confused
Please try to use some reading comprehension. I was raised protestant, but went to a Catholic High School.

No. We got the point that you're either intellectually dishonest or willfully ignorant. Catholics are Christians. End of story.

not only that but several of his explanations are completely lacking analysis, instead he substitutes weak analogies and condescension
he essentially degrades his opponent into believing his position

I'm a Christian, and I call Catholics, Protestants, and Orthodox Christians all by that name, because unlike you, I understand the history of Christianity, and have a deep knowledge of theology. To assert that only Protestants are Christians is to say that Christianity began in 1517, which is patently absurd.

Connor4050 said: So one of my good friend posted something about God on facebook.
I was messing around and i posted a comment saying: "****SPOILER ALERT***** GOD IS FAKE!" I thought it was funny
Then immediately, a gang of Christians team up on me. Here's the conversation:
girl 1: I'd rather live like there is a God and die and find out there isn't then live like there isn't a God and die and found out there is.
me: If you die you can't "find out there isn't a God" You just die. End of story.
girl 2: I feel sorry for you Connor, since you obviously do not know what you are talking about.
me: Oh, Excuse me for not believing in an God i never see. Or a God that says i'm allowed to sell my daughter as a sex slave. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT) OR a God that sent two bears to maul children to death because they called a man "baldy" (2 Kings 2:23-24) Would you like me to go on?
girl 1: Connor, You've obviously misinterpreted the bible bc CLEARLY you do not read it often. If you're gonna read the bible why don't you read one of the hundreds of miracles Jesus has performed. I have nothing else to say to you but i'm gonna pray for you.
Me: I don't understand how you can "misinterpret" that, its black and white. And I actually attended catholic school and went to church twice a week. I'm sorry, but i refuse to believe in such a thing. Please don't waste your time praying for me and do something productive instead.
girl 3: Connor...both of those are books in the Old Testament first of all....secondly, any passage of text can be misconstrued if taken out of context.
girl 1: You're right Jacqueline. Maybe he should read the NEW testament.
I gave up after that. I realized there's no point. I'm sorry but do Christians just ignore all of the Old Testament? It's still the freaking bible. It still says what it says.
Well, in my opinion you're being just as or more unreasonable than they are.
you say "god is fake"
God means different things to different people.
If i were so say my definition of god is simply everything - all of existence, would you then say god is fake?
You really did it to yourself saying something so absurd and you come across as an "atheist" who was driven to atheism from a distaste of Christianity, am i right?
Well considering their background it isn't unreasonable for him to assume that they believe in a monotheistic god
Secondly, there is already a word for "everything," it is called "everything." You can't just go around redefining things to meet your agenda.
That would be like if I renamed the color "black" and called it "God." I would then claim that God exists, and people would say what do you mean, how do you know? And i would say, well by "God" I mean "black" and they would say well ok no one is going to argue against that.
Similarly, no one is going to argue that "everything" doesn't exist.
