I just made it up. Fits nicely, doesn't it?
But yeah, I'd love to know the brand and product name. I'm sure we don't have it here but I could probably find a close equivalent.

I know Preston, used to live near there. That's too rural to find cyanescens. You need to get into Seattle, like right now, and you could find some. Then start up a cardboard spawn and you can get them naturalized in your area.

I'll see if I can find out the brand name when the Missus gets home. If you want home or outdoor cultivation though, number one best substrate is fresh-chipped alder branches. But I'd wager any evergreen-type sawdust would work.
I suppose since the UK doesn't have its own timber industry not many folks heat with wood and you don't see a lot of wood pellet stoves. Folks in the US northwest use these things, which are just sawdust compressed into pellets.

Seattle's a bit far to travel from Lancashire.

Oh hilarious. I didn't see that he was from the UK at first. There's a place very near Seattle called Preston, in the "North west" of the US.

Oh I didn't know, sorry. Anyway, I'll get back to you with some brand names.
How big is the UK timber industry? Is it for framing new homes or is it more nice hardwoods for furniture and the like?

Not sure, I've seen it piled up on the side of roads near forests, sometimes, when driving past.

Sure, but my understanding was that the Britain doesn't have millions of acres of managed timber land the way the western US does. There's an economy of scale when it comes to wood heat for homes, timber export, and the surplus of sawdust that needs marketing in that environment. This leads me to suspect that not many folks in England are heating with wood pellets. It's more of a gimmicky US evil capitalist McDonalds Paris Hilton sort of a thing.

Wise guy, eh? Suppose you think Americans are all daft I've got an excuse in the form of a fever. Of course now I'm picturing that scene from Monty Python with the British Grim Reaper admonishing the American dinner guests:
"You always talk, you Americans. You talk and you talk and say 'let me tell you something' and 'I just wanna say this'. Well, you're dead now, so shut up!"

Oh yeah, I don't think we have an export market. All home timber usually has a localised market.
And on the joking, I didn't mean to offend.

Thanks, me neither. I've always been known as the sensitive type, unfortunately. I'd be happy to send you a print on aluminum foil if you need a way to start something up. Same goes for MCSteveyC.
