Risk of fire issue for stealth setup?
    #1350175 - 03/04/03 03:13 PM (15 years, 1 month ago)

Here's the setup a giant rubbermaid with a 2mil plastic tarp taped down over the lid area. Lid has attatched a 20w 110v flourescent light like 18" and also the tub has perlite for humidity and a bubbler to provide air exchanges. All sitting on a blanket. Light times are like 6 on 18 off and u think it will have heat issues to the point of baking the fruiting chamber or catching the blanket cover on fire? Just curious as those 2 issues with the lights. Thanks.

Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

fluorescents produce very little heat, besides compact flouros, you have a tube fluro so heat shouldnt be a problem

...hypothetically speaking of course.

As long as the lights aren't too hot or too close to the blanket, you should be fine. Also, watch out for things that may be above the light like a wooden frame or wall.
