I'd give it about 2 or 3 more weeks. It's still dropping down into the low 40s in most places at night... Too cold still.

im reporting from georgia close to the florida line. so far all this rain we have been having in the state of georgia an expecialy down here had left the ground  completely saturated in water and very very soggy , it will be at least a month befor there is a chance of the fruiting here , possibly 2 months , for the rest of this month is supposed to see rain every week for about 2 days straight. my fields are as perfect as they get for mass cropping if you take the care to thump each cap befor you snap the stem an it has yet to be even close to where it should be to fruit . the temperature is also still way to cool for them . i walk all of my fields everynight starting 2 weeks ago checking up on them an enjoying the night air, well happy hunting , the joy you an I will feel when we find that first cap will make up for the torturist wait, take care.

Hey brother... I'm new here, just sayin hello from North Atlanta.  I've seen a few pop up, but that was only for a brief moment and they never got any bigger than half my thumb.  Never got the chance to go back and check on them because of the weather, by the time I got back they were gone  :frown:

I found a lone Weilii the other day just north of the perimeter. Haven't seen anything else yet though.

"I thought cubes only grow in the fall"

I hope thats not right, in my books they say they grow year round if the temps are right, and its been in the 80s where i live.

Cubes do not grow when it is too hot or when it is too cold.

Temperatures for cubensis are generally listed in many gerowing tekls but those parameters are for indoor cultivation not outdoor cultivation.

In Jac ksonville Florida there are cubes between late April and early June, after a while it is too hot for them to fruit, ye some farms will have small fruitings in shaded regions of their lands.

I live in Florida around a lot of fields. We are havin real rainy weather one day, and the next is bright and sunny. Some of my friends have gone hunting and made out quite successful, but in the weeks to come there will be tons more.
